Chromebooks Are Here!
Published September 7th, 2017

The Library is now offering Chromebooks for in-library use.
What is it?
A Chromebook is an Internet-dependent laptop that starts up super fast (approximately 7 seconds) and works with cloud-based word processing, spreadsheets, and other Web apps (email, photos, etc), that run while you’re connected to a network. The benefits of everything being saved on the Web is that you’ll have access to it from any computer or mobile device.
The Fine Print:
A Chromebook may be checked out for 4 hours at a time and may be renewed twice.
It must be used within the Library building and must be returned to the Bedford Free Public Library Circulation Desk fifteen minutes before closing.
