We have suspended our Museum Pass Program for the immediate future. As the situation changes, we will evaluate and adjust accordingly. We appreciate your patience.
Discounted passes to museums are provided by the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library. Popular passes are often booked well in advance.
Please Note: We urge patrons to always check with individual museums with regards to hours prior to their visit. Changes in hours may occur without prior notice.
From the Museum Passes page you can:
- Choose a particular pass or view all passes
- View only those passes available
- View passes in the next 3 days, 7 days, two weeks, or month
- Link to the museum’s own web site by clicking on the museum name
- View individual pass details such as discount on admission, # of persons allowed per pass, etc.
- View your pass reservations both current and past and cancel passes you decide not to use.
All from the same page!
Reserving a pass is easy.
When you click on the link below (Reserve Museum Pass), you will be able to view the availability of each pass on any particular date. To reserve, click on “Request Pass” beside the specific museum you wish to visit. Enter your 14-digit library card number, (this is required) then click ‘submit.’ Once your library card number is verified, click ‘continue’.
The next screen is the specific pass information: name of museum, date of visit, patron name, library card number, etc. You must enter your phone number.
Email is optional unless you wish to be sent a reminder in advance of your visit. Once all relative information is entered, click ‘continue’.
You will be asked to check the information and, if it is correct,
click on the Submit Request button at the bottom of the page.
(If information is incorrect, click on the Backup and Fixbutton to go back and make changes. At this point in time you may cancel the reservation all together.)
Once submitted, your reservation is complete. You can print the confirmation page and bring it with you when you pick up your pass.
NOTE: Passes can only be picked up on the library card that made the reservation.
Cancelling a pass is easy
Click on the ‘Reserve Museum Pass’ link to begin. Just below the small calendar icon, you will see [My Passes]. Click on this link.
You will need to enter your library card number AND pin # (the pin you use when requesting materials online.)
Once verified, click ‘continue’. You will now see what you have reserved in the future as well as what you have reserved and used in the past.
If you wish to cancel a reservation, click on ‘cancel this reservation’. You will be asked if you really want to cancel the reservation. Clicking ‘yes’ will cancel the reservation and return you to your passes. Click on ‘close the window’ and you are returned to the museum pass page.
