A Dedicated Community
The Friends are a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the Library and its staff. As an independent, non-profit organization, the funds raised by the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library enable the library to provide services and programs beyond those funds in the Library’s annual budget.
Typically, gently-used books are offered for sale by the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library at their annual Spring and Fall book sales each year. Thanks to generous donations from the community, proceeds from all sales support the library in providing programs and collection materials including but not limited to Museum passes, site licenses to show movies, DVD/Blu-Ray collection additions, Summer reading programs for children, teens and adults, lecture series, Chinese cultural programs, children, teen and adult programs throughout the year, equipment such as laptops for in-library use, internet hotspots, a telescope, a Roku, and so much more.
