Book Group Resources
Reading Group Choices is a resource for reading groups. Discussion guides are available for books by both large publishers and independent presses. In addition to guides, there are tips on starting a group, running a successful group and title recommendations by subject.
Reading Group Guides contains discussion guides for hundreds of books. The guides contain discussion questions and background information on the author and the subject. There are also suggestions for general questions when a specific guide is not available.
STARTING A BOOK GROUP
This guide, by the Seattle Public Library, takes you through the steps of setting up a book group, choosing a book for the group, reading the book, hints for book group leaders, and researching the book and its author.
Book Groups at the Library
The Bedford Free Public Library hosts two book groups. The Library Book Discussion group meets most months at the Council on Aging in the Town Center building (12 Mudge Way). The Feasting from the Cookbook group meets numerous times per year in the library and includes a cooking demonstration (registration is required for this group).
