Summer Reading 2019

Calling all readers!

New this year!

Individuals and whole families can sign up online using Beanstack, the library’s new Summer Reading website.  There’s one link for everyone, no matter what age, grade, or program you join.  Download the Beanstack app to track your reading on the go!

Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers

June 17th through August 22nd

Are you ready for a summer filled with fun and learning?  Join Summer Reading to try new activities and help build the skills that kids will use when they’re ready to read independently.  When you complete all of the activities, stop by the library to pick up a small toy and Book Nook coupon.  Online participation in Beanstack is convenient and portable; paper reading logs are also available at the library.

School-age Kids

June 17th through August 22nd

Kids aged 3 years through 5th grade will be reading and beading this year!  Start the summer with a lanyard and earn beads as you track your reading and complete activities.  More reading = more beads! Online participation in Beanstack is convenient and portable; paper reading logs are also available at the library.

Middle School and High School

June 17th through August 23rd.

Everyone entering grades 6th through 12th is invited to participate in our Summer Reading Program! Read books and complete challenges to earn points, which you can exchange for prizes at the Reference Desk. Beanstack makes it easy to participate from your computer or smartphone–or visit the library to check in with a librarian.

Adults

July 1st through August 31st

Whether you’re a new high school graduate, a retiree, or any stage of life in between, your book reviews are welcomed!  With weekly drawings for local gift cards and one final Grand Prize, there’s a good incentive to share your reading. Beanstack makes it easy to participate from your computer or smartphone–or visit the library to get paper review forms.
