Homeschool Book Club

It’s a fully digital version of the Homeschool Book Club!  All homeschooling families are warmly invited to join the conversation on Zoom.

The ages listed for the two discussion groups are approximate.  You are welcome to join the discussion that best fits your interests and reading abilities.  Both groups meet from 10:30-11:30am.

This month’s books are both available as print books, audiobooks, and ebooks via Overdrive/Libby as well as hoopla.

Because of Winn Dixie, by Kate DiCamillo

10-year-old India Opal Buloni describes her first summer in the town of Naomi, Florida, and the good things that happen to her because of her big ugly dog, Winn Dixie.

Older: ages 12+ (Led by Pam)

Nimona, by Noelle Stevenson

Nimona, a young shapeshifter with a knack for villainy, and Lord Ballister Blackheart, a villain with a vendetta, set out to prove that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his friends are not the heroes everyone thinks they are, but Lord Blackheart soon realizes that Nimona’s powers are as murky and mysterious as her past, and her unpredictable wild side might be more dangerous than he is willing to admit.
