First Amendment and the Free Press

The Bedford Citizen is co-sponsoring a community conversation presented by the New England First Amendment Coalition (NEFAC) on
“First Amendment and the Free Press.”
With moderator, Richard Lodge, newspaper reporter, photographer and editor since 1977 and current editor of the Daily News of Newburyport.
Panelists include Jim Campanini, former editor of The Lowell Sun having held the positions of managing editor, executive news editor, and editorial page editor; Richard Gagliuso, member of NEFAC’s Board of Directors with years of experience representing the media in issues like libel and privacy claims and the myriad legal issues that arise during news-gathering and reporting process; and Lisa Kashinsky, award-winning multimedia journalist and general assignment reporter for The Boston Herald. A graduate of Boston University, she previously covered the Merrimack Valley for The Eagle-Tribune and the South Shore for Wicked Local weeklies and The Patriot Ledger.
