Summer Reading

Summer is a time to read! Between June 15th and August 24th, read books and complete challenges for entries into weekly raffles. Everyone going into grades 6th through 12th in the Fall is welcome!

Register: You must register to participate! Register online at or at the Reference Desk in the Bedford Free Public Library.

Read: Any books read between June 15th and August 24th count! What you read is up to you! Required reading for school counts. So do graphic novels and manga, audiobooks, ebooks, and non-fiction. Log your books online to keep track of what you’ve read and to be eligible for prizes. If you don’t know what to pick, look for displays in the Teen Area or ask Teen Librarian Pam for a recommendation.

Challenges: Complete challenges to earn badges and to be eligible for prizes. There are a variety of challenges to conquer on our summer reading website. Stop by the Reference Desk to pick up buttons for the challenges you’ve completed!

Win: Every book logged is a raffle entry. Every challenge completed is a raffle entry. Each week, we will raffle off a gift card to Bedford Farms to someone who logged a book or completed a challenge in the past week.
