MCBA

Massachusetts Children’s Book Award

Each year, upper-elementary students across Massachusetts are invited to vote for their favorite books of the year.  This year’s list of 25 books spans a wide range of genres, formats, and reading levels–there’s something for everyone!  Voting will take place in March, giving everyone time to read and think about their favorites.

Do you want to join in?

Kids can participate if they …
  • are in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade
  • read at least 5 of the books on the list
  • are not voting anywhere else

Register on Beanstack to keep track of your reading online, or sign up with a paper form in the Children’s Room.  You must sign up if you want to vote!

All 4-6th graders are welcome to register.  Those who finish at least 5 books will be sent voting information in April 2022.
