The Friends are a group of people dedicated to supporting the Library and its staff. As an independent, non-profit organization, the Friends raise funds via annual membership dues and book sales. With these funds, the Friends provide library services and programs beyond those in the Library's annual budget.

 

Friends

  • hold at least two book sales each year.

  • maintain the used book carts in the library

  • gratefully accept tax-deductivle donations of gently-used books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and audiobooks

  • provide Museum Passes or reduced-fee coupons to numerous Greater Boston area museums.

  • sponsor Programs for children, teens and adults AND much more!

  • Frequent the used book carts

  • Shop at the book sales

  • Attend Library programs

  • Volunteer your time


If you are interested in becoming a member, print out the Membership Form and mail it in or drop it off at the library. Membership benefits include a monthly newsletter with calendar of Library programs mailed to your home, invitations to 'Friends Only' events including a Members Only book sale preview and most of all, the satisfaction of supporting your library and meeting others who value this community resource.

The Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library is a 501 (c) (3) organization.
