The Friends are a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the Library and its staff. As an independent, non-profit organization, funds raised by the Friends via book sales and annual membership dues help provide library services and programs beyond those in the Library's annual budget.
How We Raise Funds
The Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library hold book sales twice a year, in the spring and the fall.
Throughout the year, the FOBFPL offers gently-used books for sale in three locations at the library - a permanent cart located on the art mezzanine, in the alcove to the right of the Circulation desk, and the Children's Book Store on the first floor beneath the stairs.
The Friends gratefully accept tax-deductible donations of clean, gently-used books, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks. Drop off is located on the 1st floor next to the elevator behind the Circulation Dept.
