Book Sales and Book Donations
The Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library hold book sales three times a year.
The Spring Book Sale is usually held the 2nd weekend in April or Pole Capping Weekend – the weekend before Patriot’s Day. The Fall Book Sale is usually held on Bedford Day Weekend. (In 2017 – Friday, September 22, 1-5 pm, Saturday, September 23, 10-4 pm, and Sunday, September 24, 1-4 pm). The holiday book sale is held on the same day as the Friends Annual Meeting, usually a Saturday in December. PLEASE visit the calendar for exact dates and times for each sale.
Throughout the year, the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library offers gently-used books for sale in three locations at the library – a permanent cart located on the art mezzanine, in the alcove to the right of the Circulation desk, and the Children’s Book Store on the first floor beneath the stairs. Thanks to generous donations from the community, proceeds from these sales help support services and programs at the Bedford Free Public Library.
The Friends accepts donations of used books that are clean and in good condition. Drop off is located on the 1st floor next to the elevator directly behind the Circulation Department.
